Jude Landry Wins 2010 HOW Poster Design Award

"From about 800 Poster Design Awards entries, judge Steve Hartman chose 10 winners, using a judging system that involved several rounds to narrow the field."
Jude Landry's "Ian McLagan Gig Poster" was one of the ten chosen to for the 2010 How Poster design awards.This is a huge honor for Jude, the Department of Art, and the College of Architecture, Art, & Design here at Mississippi State University.

Naked Sponges: the Mississippi State University BFA Senior Thesis Exhibition

Opening reception is at 5:30 pm on Thursday April 8, at the Department of Art Gallery (McComas Hall). From 6:30 to 7.30 pm, it will move to the new Visual Arts Center (VAC) Gallery. There will be a shuttle taking visitors from McComas Hall to the VAC. The exhibit will be open from April 5th until April 23rd.

Thirteen Seniors from Mississippi State's Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) program will be presenting their undergraduate thesis work. The students presenting the show are Jennifer Aldridge, Joseph Arthur, Andrea Brooks, Sabrina Campbell, Anna Haley, Tracie Grace Lyons, Garrett May, Virginia McRee, Blanca Perez, Julia Reyes, Liza Sanders, Emily Weathers, and Aaron Young.

HOW Magazine profiles MSU in top-tier art programs

"After noticing the national awards, number of published submissions and originality of work being generated by Mississippi State students, one of the nation's top graphic design magazines took a closer look at what's happening at the Starkville university.

In a major feature in its July/August issue, HOW, a Cincinnati, Ohio-based international publication, profiles MSU as a "hidden gem" and one of three top-tier "off-the-radar" design programs bringing students into the national spotlight."
